Our Story
Founded in 2005 in the university town of Stellenbosch, Multi-Lingua School was born from a simple idea: adults deserve more than textbook learning. Our founder, Hélène Lambrechts, a linguist and educator with over 30 years of experience created a space where real-world fluency, purpose, and personal growth come together.
From humble beginnings in a single classroom, Multi-Lingua has grown into an international language learning hub, welcoming adult students from over 30 countries. Whether you want to learn English in South Africa for work or study, or learn isiXhosa or Afrikaans to better connect with local communities, we’re here to guide your journey.
What makes us different?
We Teach Adults, Not Teenagers
Our programmes are designed for mature learners with academic, professional, or personal goals. No schoolroom clichés, just practical, respectful, and supportive education.
We Use Neuroscience-Based Methods
Learning is most effective when it’s relevant and contextual. We teach through rhythm, real-life conversations, visual memory, and cultural stories to make language stick.
We Prioritise Real-Life Fluency
Whether you enroll in an English, isiXhosa or Afrikaans course, you’ll speak with locals, join cultural events, volunteer, and apply what you learn daily.
We Offer Individual Support
Every student receives personalised assessments, learning paths, and ongoing mentorship from our academic team and student advisors.
We Build Community
Our global network of alumni continues to support each other via WhatsApp, peer tutoring, and networking, long after they leave our classrooms.
OUR MISSION
To empower adult learners through English, isiXhosa and Afrikaans language education that is immersive, personalised, and rooted in real-world relevance.

To become the most trusted boutique language school for adults globally, delivering impactful learning and career readiness through neuroscience, empathy, and cultural connection.
